With a remarkable historical heritage, medieval cities, monasteries, castles of the dukes of Burgundy, but also a luxuriant nature favoring all types of agriculture and especially wine growing, Burgundy is one of the most interesting regions to visit in France.
Our trip will be focused on discovering the famous Burgundy wines, red or white, and tasting them with local wine growers who will try to share their passion with you. We will also have the opportunity to stop for lunch at charming restaurants and enjoy the traditional gastronomy of this region.
Along the way, you will be able to discover the natural beauty of the landscape and the charm of the villages. Beaune will be our final destination the first day and the stay will be full of discoveries.
The first day, we will depart from Paris at 8:00 am and pick you up at your hotel or apartment . We will drive to Chablis, home of the world famous white wine, where we will stop for a first visit of a cellar and experience of tasting some of the different vines used in the Chablis area.
For lunch, we will stop in one of the most beautiful medieval villages of Burgundy, Noyers sur Serein, in a traditional restaurant where you will get acquainted with the Burgundy gastronomy.
On our arrival in Beaune, we will check in a charming hotel and then go for a visit of the famous “Hospices de Beaune”, with its “Hotel Dieu”, in a very rich gothic style, From the 15th to the 20th century, the nuns of the Hospices de Beaune took care of their poor patients with the help of generous donators. The Hospices de Beaune also have large vineyards and they hold prestigious auctions to sell their wines.
You will have free time in the evening to stroll in the center of beautiful Beaune and dine in a restaurant. We will help you select one.
The next day, we will follow the famous road of the great wines and stop in Chateau Pommard and Clos Vougeot and one or two local wine growers to taste these wines which contributed to the entering of Burgundy in the World heritage this summer.
We will stop in one of the villages along the road for a last traditional lunch and then drive back to Paris where we should arrive around 7:00 pm.
